Sporting Saint Associate – Andy Cullen Training in Sweden
“I was in Sweden from the 6-13 th of October by kind invitation of Swedish Cocker man and trainer A panel Judge Törbjorn Augustinsson. The aim was for me to take training for spaniels including a puppy/ Novice day as well as minor breeds day. I also saw several Swedish Ftch and a Winner of the Swedish Cocker Championship on one of several shoot over days. My trip was very enjoyable and I was amazed by the volume of wildlife as I always am when I visit Sweden. The standard as you would expect of the various groups was varied however I was able to witness some good spaniel work. My only concern upon reflection was the amount of dogs that struggled to switch from hunting mode to retrieving mode I’m sure with more input by trainers etc that will get better.
In summary a great trip training all kinds of Gundogs and all kinds of people the Laochin way”.
