Martin Hopps – Slingley Gundogs

My name is Martin Hopps and I own Slingley Gundogs. I live in the North East of England with my wife and sons. I am new to the Gundog Industry but in the small amount of time that I have been a part of it, I really enjoy the community it provides and being outdoors.

I am a dog trainer and five star registered breeder. After getting my Labrador, Hunter in 2018, I went on my first Grouse shoot in 2019 and I developed a real passion for the sport. I then started to grow my pack and by 2020 I had a further nine Labradors. It was in 2020 that I started my breeding business and my social media started to expand. Over the next four years my pack grew even more and I now own eighteen Labradors. With the help and support if my family, we have grown Slingley Gundogs into the successful business it currently is.

I really enjoy working with Sporting Saint, the quality of their products is exceptional and this has a huge part to play in the training of my dogs. My personal favourite product, is the Auto-Launch remote control Dummy Launcher.
